Formats
used:
1. My cute Little Pull
Throughs are colouring book-style pictures withstripsthat the students colour, cut and
pull throughto read.
As the student pulls through the words appear
one at a time to read. As the consonants change the students practice their letter sounds and
blending. Colouring and cuttingpractice is built into the cute, fun format.
2. My
Skinny Sentence Books are strip books that the student cut, stapleand flip to
read. Both the phonogram and the sight words are patterned so repetition helps the students review
consonants, short vowels and learn sight word vocabulary. They practice oral reading with the words
in context. Even grade Ones have no trouble making them!
